Ardus Medical, Inc., is a leading provider of pre-owned, brand name medical equipment for hospitals and other healthcare organizations worldwide. The company sells, leases and rents a variety of high-quality, pre-owned medical equipment and devices. Through its AMI Biotech Division, Ardus supplies OEM and non-OEM medical equipment parts, and offers a full gamut of on-site and off-site equipment repair and preventive maintenance services.

Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ardus operates regional facilities in Dallas, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Phoenix, Tampa, Charlotte, Baltimore, Cleveland, Louisville and New Castle, Ind.

History

A Heritage of Service to the Heathcare Industry
Troy Powell and his wife Debbie started Ardus Medical in 1994. Troy had worked as a salesman in the medical equipment field and used those contacts along with his personal savings to get the company started. Troy and Debbie began working from their home on a part-time basis selling and renting used infusion pumps and defibrillators to hospitals, emergency medical technicians and veterinarians.

Ardus added technical and administrative staff to keep up with the fast-paced growth it experienced in the late 1990's. By 1998 Ardus was up to 10 employees, which required moving into a new 3,000 sq. ft. facility in Blue Ash.

In 2000, INC Magazine recognized Ardus as the 167th fastest growing company in America. Further growth dictated a second move into a 10,000 sq. ft. facility at 11297 Grooms Road in Blue Ash in 2003.

Ardus began to expand beyond the Greater Cincinnati area in 2003 with the opening of their first regional service center in Cleveland, Ohio. Ardus now has 13 service centers spread across the United States and over 80 employees.
